Battle of Karna and Jarsandha

Adorned with the intricate patterns of ' GOND' tribal art form, this painting depicts unique folklore story of Gond tribe. When karna went to rule his Kingdom ' Angadesha' , he learnt that ‘Jarasandha’ has deprived the subjects of Angadesha of water. Karna defeated Jarasandha for the benefit of his subjects. In this painting , karna is represented by a tiger , a symbol of Valour and ‘Jarasandha’ is represented by pig, a symbol of unruly behaviour.
