Mitti Ka Khoj- Khekda(Crab) and Khechua(Earthworm)
Adorned with intricate patterns of GOND Tribal painting style, this painting depicts a portion of the Gond tribal folklore ' Mitti Ka Khoj. The crow requests to kekada ( crab) to fetch the mud balls from ' Pataal lok' as ordered by Lord Shiva to fill the water filled Earth. As the crab holds one set of legs of the crab as a support above the water, the crab snatches the mud balls from the reluctant ' Khechua' ( Earthworm) with another set of its legs.
