Mitti Ka Khoj-Makaramal Raja

Adorned with intricate patterns of GOND Tribal painting style, this painting depicts last leg of the Gond tribal folklore ' Mitti Ka Khoj'. When the crow brings the mud balls as ordered by Lord Shiva to fill the water filled Earth, 'Makarmal Raja' , the spider king weaves the net above the water to hold the mud from drowning into the water. In this painting, the tree branches and the leaves represent the spider net and the fish represents the water.
